Cottenham Juniors and Cottenham Brass Beginners

Cottenham Brass offers opportunities for young brass players to develop their musical skills, both in ensemble settings and as soloists, through our two youth bands that rehearse on Thursday evenings during term time in Landbeach.

Cottenham Brass Beginners rehearse from 6–6:30pm and welcome young brass players who can play a few notes up to grade 2–3. The band performs at village fetes and informal concerts for family and friends.

Cottenham Brass Juniors rehearse from 6:30 to 7:30pm and include young brass and percussion players from grade 2-3 up to grade 8+. Beginner band members are invited to join when they have reached the required standard. The Junior band performs at village fetes, festivals, contests, and in concerts with the Senior band. Learning a brass instrument

If you are interested in learning a brass instrument but aren’t sure where to start, please get in touch. We have a variety of brass instruments available to try and can put you in touch with local brass teachers.

Instrument donations welcome

If you have brass instruments languishing in your loft, please consider donating them to our youth bands.
