Cambridge Area Brass Band Engagements for 2025

We play many concerts throughout the year, in a wide variety of styles, including traditional marches and hymns, show and film tunes, popular music and some classical arrangements.

• Saturday, 1st November, 8.00am-6.00pm, Wychavon contest
• Sunday, 9th November, 10.30am-11.30am, Remembrance Sunday Cottenham War Memorial
• Tuesday, 11th November, 10.45am-11.15am, Armistice Day Short service at the war memorial in Cottenham.
• Sunday, 16th November, 2.00pm-4.00pm, Joint Concert with the Junior Band, St Mary's Church, Over Juniors to play the first half, Senior Band in the second half with a couple of massed band pieces to finish.
• Saturday, 29th November, 7.30pm-9.30pm, Eltisley Christmas Concert Seasonal music in the parish church at Eltisley.
• Friday, 5th December, 8.00pm-10.00pm, Offord Cluny Christmas Concert Seasonal music, interspersed with carols.
• Saturday, 6th December, 2.00pm-4.00pm, Oakington Scouts Carol Concert* Small band to play carols at the Scouts annual fundraising community event.
• Sunday, 7th December, 3.30pm-5.00pm, Fulbourn Winter Festival* Seasonal music played outside the church, followed by carol singing once the tree lights have been switched on.
• Monday, 8th December, 9.00pm-10.00pm, Freemasons White Table event * Small group (c 8 players) to play carols following the white table meal.
• Saturday, 13th December, 11.00am-1.00pm, Oakington Garden Centre* Small group required to play Christmas carols.
• Sunday, 14th December, 4.00pm-6.00pm, Leper Chapel Carols * Small band for two carol services - 16.00 and 17.00
• Monday, 15th December, 6.30pm-7.15pm, Alex Wood Care Home * Small band to play carols for the residents of the home.
• Wednesday, 17th December, 7.00pm-7.45pm, Carols at Oakington* Playing outside the pub for carol singing.
• Saturday, 20th December, 7.30pm-10.00pm, Cambridge Blue Christmas music at the Cambridge Blue in Gwydir Street
• Sunday, 21st December, 3.00pm-4.00pm, URC Fulbourn carol Service * small group required.

• Saturday, 14th June, 7.30pm-9.30pm, Summer Concert at Fulbourn URC A concert to mark the retirement of the Minister, Nigel Uden. map
• Saturday, 12th July, 2.00pm-3.30pm, JUNIOR BAND - Landbeach Garden Party One or two senior players will be needed to help out. This is for the Friends of Landbeach Chiurch. The band will open the event and play a second slot a little later.
• Saturday, 16th August, 12.00pm-2.00pm, Saffron Walden Bandstand map
• Sunday, 14th September, 11.45am-2.00pm, Bridge the Gap walk, Parker's Piece The band is invited to play two slots of c.40minutes at the start and finish of the 25th walking event.
• Saturday, 27th September, 11.30am-2.45pm, Gransden Agricultural Show Two slots - 11.30-12.15 and 14.00-14.45

Each year during the summer months, the band plays at garden and church fetes. As we approach Christmas, carol concerts keep us fairly busy. Over the years several thousand pounds have been raised for various local and national charities.
